Truck driver Hector meets the girls at a radio station the morning after the comet. Lured there, as the girls were, by the thinking that the radio broadcast is live, they soon discover that it isn't and that the three of them might be the only survivors of the comet's radiation.

Hector has to leave the girls to fend for themselves when he goes back home to see if any of his family have survived.
