The El Rey
The El Rey movie theatre where where Reggie worked is located at 5515 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90036, and has been a live music venue since 1994.
The photos below show the El Rey as it looks today compared with images from the film. Night of the Comet fan Devon was kind enough to supply these photos.

The Dorothy Chandler Junction
Near the beginning of the film when Reggie flees downtown LA on her boyfriend's motorcycle, she comes to a stop beside a brown Mercedes 300D. The street is Grand Avenue, and the location is about 100 yards south of the Dorothy Chandler, looking south. This shot, along with most others, was shot during the middle of a normal business day. The Mercedes belonged to writer/director Thom Eberhardt.

The Bank of America Plaza
The scene at the end of the film, where Reggie takes photos of the kids, takes place at the Bank of America Plaza, 333 South Hope Street, Los Angeles. The crossing in the road is where DMK nearly runs over Sam.

Night of the Comet fan, Sean, was kind enough to submit these photos of how some of the locations look today. The top two photos show the crossing, the bottom left photo shows where DMK passes, and the bottom right picture of the fly-over walk way (just around the corner from the Plaza) is where the scientists cross on their search for the girls.
