The El Rey

The El Rey movie theatre where where Reggie worked is located at 5515 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90036, and has been a live music venue since 1994.

The Dorothy Chandler Junction

Near the beginning of the film when Reggie flees downtown LA on her boyfriend's motorcycle, she comes to a stop beside a brown Mercedes 300D. The street is Grand Avenue, and the location is about 100 yards south of the Dorothy Chandler, looking south. The Mercedes belonged to writer/director Thom Eberhardt.

The address for Reggie and Sam's house is 19174 Dunure Place, San Fernando Valley, CA.

The Bank of America Plaza

The scene at the end of the film, where Reggie takes photos of the kids, takes place at the Bank of America Plaza, 333 South Hope Street, Los Angeles. The crossing in the road is where DMK nearly runs over Sam.

"If you're getting rid of those, can I have one?"	No longer a trash can, now a plant!
"Smile"	A few more trees there now
"God! They look like the Brady Bunch."
"We do not cross against the light!"	The crossing now has more stripes

Union Bank

The location where Reggie and Sam have target practice is near Union Bank off 445 South Figueroa Street, LA. The white building appears to be the one in this shot, however, I have been unable to assertain the exact location used. The wall, if it still exists, has likely been repainted, but features some quite distinct architecture (the curved-topped beams) which should be easy to identify. Judging from the height of the shot, the girls appear to be well above road level.

Night of the Comet fan Kimbakat has submitted the following additional information on this location:
"It appears that there was a structure (that the girls were standing on) that had similar design LIKE the Public Library across the street from the Library (hence the sconce design). They are standing on a mezzanine that is no longer there. The US Bank building and plaza is now there with outdoor escalators. I don't know what year that was built....probably the 90s. They would be standing on the first mezzanine (first escalator level) on the NE street side of W 5th Street.

Below are two mock-up images from Google Earth and Maps showing the angle (which puts the girls on a the second floor off the street) and line-of-site.

The camera would have been setup approximately right in the middle of W 5th Street in front of the US Bank Building which is the tallest building in LA right now."

The top two photos show the crossing, the bottom left photo shows where DMK passes, and the bottom right picture of the fly-over walk way (just around the corner from the Plaza) is where the scientists cross on their search for the girls.
